Report Program Generator (RPG) Developer

An established tech organization is actively seeking an experienced RPG Developer to join their team to assist the team with a variety of changes to the existing code while putting more senior developers on some bigger projects and initiatives for the company.   The RPG Developer will be an integral part of the team's continuous improvement, must be able to read someone else's code or given specifications, be able to make modifications, test and improve.  The environment is embedded SQL and RPGLE.   This person will sit within the warehousing and distribution team and previous experience in a similar role is highly desired.  Excellent communication skills are required.  

Requirements:

• 7+ years of iSeries (AS/ 400) development experience using RPGLE, IV and CL
• Embedded SQL
• Critical to have current experience with advanced RPG development skills and techniques
• Application experience with Distribution, Sales Order Processing, Logistics and Inventory
• Excellent problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
• Able to translate complex business requirements into working software applications
• Able to work in a team environment
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Willing to follow departmental processes and procedures
