Your qualifications

The client would like to have the consultant on site in Gothenburg. The consultant must be a resident and have permanent residence in an EU country. 

The combination of programming (Pyhton) with experience and connections to AWS services is important. LIMS and life science come second.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Continue to develop our Lab Automation solution that involves scripting and API/SDK integrations with our Benchling LIMS system and AWS services

- Architect, develop, and support LIMS (Benchling)

- Collaborate with R&D scientists and other core functions to outline current research needs and workflows

- Build a LIMS development and implementation roadmap, providing well defined timelines and deliverables

- Effectively implement LIMS, providing ongoing training and support to laboratory staff

- Generate all the proper documentation and follow change control best practices

- Work within broader software development efforts, utilizing proper software repositories and participating in code reviews

- Ensure cohesive implementation and data integrity across laboratory automation platform

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer programming, software engineering, or related program

- Experience with a LIMS system is required, preferably Benchling

- 3+ years’ experience in life sciences IT support and/or LIMS development

- Strong interpersonal effectiveness, able to build trust and drive adoption of new software platforms

- Experience with Python programming language is a requirement. Knowledge about .NET, C#,
- JavaScript is a plus. Automation API development experience is a plus.
