Professional Experience
2016-01 - 2016-03
Andreas worked in the maintenance team to support a reporting system and data warehouse at the bank. The work required the ability to quickly get familiarized in new parts of the system to effectively handle operational disturbances.
2016-04 - 2016-06
When major shareholders, such as a bank, change their holdings so that it passes certain levels, they have to report it for transparency. Andreas worked together with the compliance team and identified needed improvements in the current report and worked on fixing the issues. New instrument data was imported from several sources so that stocks and derivatives could be aggregated over a single issuer. The reporting logic in SQL was rewritten and refactored.
2015-12 - 2015-12
A short-term assignment where an xml parser was developed in C#. The xml files were parsed using reflection and then populated a database model in C#.
2016-06 - 2017-06
Andreas developed a solution for reporting of reporting of trades in financial instruments against American counterparties. A big part of the project was setting up a new import of client information from the master data system over a Message Queue. Andreas was responsible for communicating with all involved stakeholders and to create a solution satisfying all the needs. Database modeling and development was made to store the new information, together with ETL processes and report creation.
2016-11 - 2017-03
Changes in the data flow for the capital adequacy control in the bank. A new way of handling how positions were netted against securities was implemented. All the positions of a counterparty was to be held against all their securities. Andreas developed the data warehouse solution to deliver the reports according to this new way of dealing with capital adequacy.
2017-05 - 2017-08
Andreas supported a project with setting up a new database for importing and transforming files in various formats. For example an import and parser of swift messages was developed. The imported files were then exported in a standardized xml format.
2017-08 - 2018-08
Further development of a data warehouse for it to be compliant with the transaction reporting according to the MiFID II directive. Andreas developed ETL-flows, with importing and parsing of xml files, loading to a data vault model and the reporting database, as well as creating the final report file.
2024-11 - 2018-12
Andreas was part of an agile team at Swedbank, working according to the SAFe model. A system for client information was developed, with data from several sources being combined, and historized, to a complete set of client data to be used in various applications. In another project then EMIR reporting was to be delegated to Nasdaq Broker Services. Andreas had the responsibility to adapt the inhouse systems to be compliant with the new way of reporting.
2019-01 - 2020-01
In this project a new data warehouse was set up from scratch. Andreas had architect and developer responsibilities. He analyzed the clients current solutions and source systems, and modeled and developed the database. ETL flows where developed in SSIS to handle imports from the 26 distinct unemployment funds, each with their own set of source systems.
2020-01 - Present
Xensam is helping customers with Software license management. To increase the ability and speed in identifying new software, Andreas is building a machine learning model to help in determining if a newly found exe-file represents actual software or not.
