Riccardo Vumbaca is a professional in Procurement Management and Supply Chain with 13 years of
experience developed in multinational firms, active in different industrial markets, living in different
countries, including also an intense work experience in Procurement for humanitarian sector in a civil
war context like South Sudan. He holds a Master Degree in Industrial Engineering, Bachelor Degree
in Electronics Engineering and a Master in Project Management for International Cooperation. He
has excellent skills in managing procurement, negotiations and logistics aspects of relationship with

- Reporting directly to CEO, managing a team composed by two buyers, two logistics officers and 8 warehouse operators.
- Driven the change to organize an appropriate Purchasing Department and Logistics Department, passing from the previous management held by the Production Director to two distinct departments well organized with processes, procedures, forms, supply contracts, and spaces. Hired in two years 7 employees/workers.
- Managing the strategic and operative relationship with all the supply base (production, general services, fleet, IT), composed by big international suppliers and Italian artisans, in a wide range of raw materials, semi-milled products, like metals, furniture, porcelain, packaging. Planning their deliveries and productions to fullfill the internal and external requests.
- Supporting the CEO in the most strategic projects, in collaboration with R&D, to find the appropriate suppliers, helding the negotiations with them, setting their production to fullfill Fornasetti requirements, organizing all the supply chain from raw materials to internal/external production, to the final customers all over the world.
- Set the internal spaces and stocks of three factories to support the production growing and customers' requests. Set and monitoring the externalized stock for Fornasetti online sales.
- Managing the internal stock of finished products, the packing process related to Fornasetti customers, the deliveries all over the world and customers' claims.

- Report directly to Head of Mission and technically to the Regional logistics Director.
- Responsible for all the procurement and supply chain, fleet, asset, public tenders mainly for construction of schools, latrines, and water management, procurement and security implementation of the mission with 8 projects across the country with 20 locations, 12 bases, fleet comprehensive of 25 vehicles.
- Supervised 5 procurement officers in Juba main office, 6 field log officers, drivers, guards.
- Put in place different tools to monitor and have more under control the field locations in terms of procurement activities, security, fleet, fuel consumption, stock management.
- Revised the security aspects of the mission: hibernation kits, contingency plans.

- Supervised and trained three internships on procurement processes and documentation, HQ logistic management and building maintenance.

- Lived and worked 1,5 years in Amsterdam, The Netherlands from November 2013 to June 2015. From July 2015 lived and worked in Milan Area, Italy.
- Global Purchasing Responsible for Food & Beverage Equipment, lead the creation and implementation of senior buyer position under my responsibility.
- Managed the re-engineering and the implementation of the Purchasing Processes and forms to organize professionally the procurement category that was historically lead at local level by sales engineers.
- Lead the Purchasing of a global spend amounting to 40 Million USD, very complex and fragmented supply base consisting of around 1000 suppliers all over the world. Focus on traded systems and equipment for water and chemical management, installation services and products.
- Worked with Global R&D and Sales Structures to rationalize and harmonize the equipment portfolio catalogue, lead global tenders to identify the proper supply base per every region.

- European responsible for all the electronics components and equipment for 3 manufacturing plants and 5 engineering centers across Europe.
- Managed a total spend amounting to 50 million Euro.
- Lead all the European and some core global negotiations, managed supply contracts with the most important global electronics components manufacturers and distributors.
- Responsible for different projects about supply base rationalization, new items approval, emerging countries sourcing, to reach cost reductions and engineering improvement.
- Followed the entire life cycle of the won customers' commitments supporting all the other Invensys Departments.
2008-09 - 2012-06
- Purchasing responsible for 15 million Euro of annual spend related to electronic/mechanical components, equipment, raw material (5 tons of silver per year).
- Lead the clusters of suppliers in Tunisia and Asia for the production of finished devices and electronics subassemblies.
- Developed skills in management of country of origin and "made in" issues, organized the logistic, negotiated price lists and built relationship with suppliers of electronics and mechanical components and finished devices.
- Made sustainability projects to reduce the usage of electronic components done with Coltan (raw material coming mainly from Congo).
- Project Manager to develop and launch onto the market new devices, driving all the activities of a cross function team.
Managed timing, budget, human resources, risk mitigation, monitoring and reporting periodically to the Board the status of the activities.
- Country project leader to develop Italian supply chain tools. Managed the relationship with all the Italian internal stakeholders to standardize the tools used.
