Takst Vest Fare Reform
Thomas as program manager was responsible for the overall completion of the implementation of the fare reform. This covered both the technical and the organizational preparation and implementation of the reform.
The purpose of the program and the fare reform was to ensure that six transport operators in western Denmark implemented harmonized and uniform fare products, terms and cross-area validity of ticketing products.
The fare reform was a presented and approved by the transportation committee of the Danish Parliament (Folketinget) and subsequently reporting was also done to the committee.

Takst Sjælland Fare Reform
The Takst Sjælland fare reform was approved by the transportation committee of the Danish parliament and had the goal to harmonize fare products in Eastern Denmark. Thomas was Rejsekort's project manager for implementing Rejsekort fare products. Furthermore, Thomas participated in defining and specifying the price calculation web services used for establishing standard products sold by the transportation operators on Sjælland.
As part of the program, Thomas participated in the implementation group overseeing the standard products and their correct implementation across sales channels such as app, rejsekort and vending machines.

Thomas was IBM's project manager part of a program to migrate all Danske Bank servers from existing Windows versions (2003 and earlier) to Windows 2008 as well as migrating from a physical server platform to a virtual platform where this was feasible.
This meant analyzing the applications and their performance and monitoring requirements in order to ensure that business critical systems were given the best possible service level agreements and less critical systems to be migrated to appropriate hardware and monitoring.

Data center move
Thomas was project manager for servers, mainly virtual as well as networking as part of Coloplast's program to move their data center to a hosted solution at CSC while maintaining operational responsibility within Coloplast.
The project was planned planned and prepared for 8 months until finally carried out in one night ensuring full operations at the start of the following day.
As part of the planning and preparation activities new hardware was established for the virtual server environment, new networking equipment was also established in advance enabling the smooth data center move.
The operational procedures and documentation was also prepared and ready for the move.
On the day of migration Thomas headed the war room coordinating activities and ensuring communications to all stakeholders.

SAN optimization and stabilization: Upgrade of SAN (Storage Area Network) infrastructure and related equipment. The objective was to ensure a better performance and availability of the storage solution that Danske Band used in their outsourced environment at IBM.
BETS PoC: Establishing a dedicated platform for a trading platform used by Danske Markets. Being a business-critical platform with requirements for a high-performng system, the project established a dedicated infrastructure for the trading platform based on HP hardware.
AIX Baseline: Establishment of a service catalog for standard deliveries from IBM to Danske Bank when delivering systems based on IBM's AIX (Unix) platform.

Sampo migration, Legacy systems and data migration: Responsible for projects moving systems from the acquired Finnish bank, Sampo, to hosted solutions in IBM. Thomas was responsible for two workstreams (portfolios): Legacy systems and data migration as well as network migration. The migration of legacy systems meant that Finnish systems that would not be migrated to the Danske Bank platform was to be moved to a hosted environment at IBM and operational preparation and documentation ensured. Thomas was also responsible for establishing the network for the connection of the Finnish bank and its branches to the rest of Danske Bank. As part of this, the critical switch was rehearsed three times before actually being done in the days of Easter.
