Software Developer

I contributed as a software engineer in a cross-functional, agile team at Sysav, focusing on developing a strong API backend platform as well as interface for Sysav's customers. The API platform serves as a central hub for seamless communication across various channels, including client-facing applications, external suppliers and services, while also providing the backbone for internal applications administered by Sysav.
My key tasks included:  

• Overseeing and contributing to development of a highly efficient API backend using Node.js.
• Using Prisma for better data management and Azure SQL for dependable database solutions.
• Managing project with Azure DevOps to streamline the development process.
• Ensuring high reliability by deploying applications on Azure hosting services.
• Utilizing Umbraco CMS for effective content management.
• Building a client-facing platform for enterprise customers with Next.js.

I played a crucial role in establishing Ignation South, a cross-functional team dedicated to delivering comprehensive projects designed to meet specific customer needs. As part of the team, we focused on identifying potential projects, crafting sales pitches, and developing proofs of concept (POCs) for various clients. Our mission was to bring ideas to life by swiftly creating solutions that could be tested and evaluated by real users. We adopted an agile methodology for rapid prototyping, utilizing modern development techniques and tools.

In addition to that, I have also actively participated in side initiatives such as Tribes, specifically the Web Tribe, which focuses on exploring different web development techniques and trends together with the selected group of developers at Sogeti.

As a key member of a small, cross-functional team, I collaborated in the creation of a staff onboarding solution that included: 

• Administrative Platform: Built an easy-to-use platform for administrators to set up onboarding templates, track progress, assign tasks, and more.
•  Employee Platform: Created a platform focused on new employees, making it easy for them to see their tasks and track their onboarding progress.
• Microsoft API Integration: Added features to securely sign in and connect with Microsoft services like Planner and Graph.
• API Development: Developed an API that allows the front-end applications, databases, and external APIs to communicate effectively.

As a part of the Ignation team, I took full responsibility for developing an e-commerce platform, built on a microservice architecture with a Single Page Application (SPA) frontend. This project allowed me to apply and deepen my expertise in modern web development practices and technologies. Notable accomplishments include: 

• Technology Integration: I worked with integrating features from different third-party systems, like InRiver for product information, Contentful for content management, Algolia for search and filtering, and Shopify for shopping cart, checkout, payments, and more.
• Advanced E-commerce Platform Development: Played a pivotal role in constructing a robust e-commerce platform, focusing on sophisticated design principles and strategic integration of various technologies for enhanced functionality and user experience.

I participated in the Careerbooster trainee program as part of an internship team that had the privilege of developing a social intranet project for Sogeti Sweden.

As a developer in the 'publish' team, I took on a role in designing and developing parts of the application. Working with a versatile team, I significantly contributed to architectural decisions and feature definitions: 

• Technology Stack: Used Azure Function APIs in C# for strong backend support and an Angular interface for the frontend. Implemented Azure resources like Key Vaults, CDN and Functions for a durable and scalable setup.
• Feature-Rich Platform: Developed a user-friendly interface for uploading images, videos, and text, with targeted posts for specific APIs. These APIs handled data processing, file storage in Azure Blob Storage and metadata management in an Azure SQL database efficiently.
• Security and User Experience: Focused on application security, improved error handling, and consistently provided a great user experience.
   

My commitment to creating this solution and keeping up with the latest tech trends has been key to my role professional journey as Software Engineering Consultant at Sogeti.

At NodeHill AB, I improved my knowledge and use of many technologies and tools while teaching post-secondary IT students. I focused on adapting my teaching to meet each student's needs. Key points include:

• Effective Communication: I was able to explain complex technical ideas in a simple way, making programming languages and methods interesting and accessible to students of different backgrounds.
• Technologies Taught: I taught a wide range of technologies and tools, such as Vue.js, React.js, Node.js, Java, Python, REST, JSON, GIT & GitHub, as well as Machine Learning and AI, full-stack application development, and Agile Methodologies.
• Collaborative Learning: Worked together with other teachers to improve our teaching methods and the learning experience.
• Interpersonal Skills: Gained important interpersonal skills by interacting with skilled teachers and students aiming to become programming experts.

Contributed to Traxmate, a versatile indoor and outdoor tracking tool, by building following features: 

• Image Cropping Tool, enabling users to crop images for different formats with support for background transparency, and implemented database storage solutions for cropped images, enhancing the application's flexibility and user experience.
• Heat-map and Marker Clustering Functionality, integrating third-party libraries to overlay maps with data visualizations. This involved complex work with coordinate systems and reading in the telemetry data.
• Floor-Map Masking Feature, used for image masking within building boundaries, so image could be used as floor map. This involved working with canvas, mathematical calculations, and image rendering techniques.

Under my time at Combain I worked in an agile environment, actively participating in sprints, weekly planning, and design meetings. This experience enriched my skills in UI/UX design and project management with tools like JIRA, as well as in version control using GIT and Bitbucket. It also offered me the opportunity to learn from experienced developers.

• Service-Minded: Always aiming to make customers happy, whether it's cooking up tasty meals or ensuring their dietary needs are met.
