Senor Systems Engineer

The Role

In this project position, working remotely from home, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for the migration of the client's entire virtual (VMware) environment. The successful candidate must have experience migrating enterprise-level Virtual machines and will be focusing on:

• Assists with the design, implementation, and support of the VMware migration project.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for all VMware and server environments.
• Provide recommendations to optimize and improve management of vSphere Infrastructure.
• Provide architecture and engineering support for the Client's performance and availability monitoring products.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve Active Directory issues.
• Provides guidance and training to new staff members.
• Proactive in identifying potential issues in the production environment to avoid business impacts.

Other key skills:

• Experience and hands-on experience working with large scale VMware environments and migrations.
• Strong Windows and VMware troubleshooting Experience.
• Experience in planning and execution of upgrades/migrations (Server/VMware).
• In-depth experience installing/configuring/maintaining hosts.
• Extensive experience with creating and maintenance of VM templates.
• Extensive experience in windows server modules DNS, DHCP, Backups and Restores.
• Experience in installation, configuration, and remote support of Windows 2012 / 2016 / 2019 Server.
• Advanced Windows skills including Active Directory.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Ability to effectively multi-task and adapt to changing business priorities.
• Possess a Baseline Security Clearance.
