Senior DevOps Release Management Consultant

Job Summary:

Client is looking for consultants to work with the team to take existing current-state release management processes and advise / implement adoption of best practices for our IT organization. It is a complex environment with legacy processes and in some cases legacy technology that are in need of guidance and strategic thinking to upgrade to best practices. Client is in the middle of a multi-year project to upgrade our foundational technologies of our main proprietary technology called UPoint. Release Management needs to be an increasing part of this upgrade. They need a bright consultant that can not only advise but direct the team to adopt these best practices. In many cases, they want you to direct how to better utilize existing tools to create these best practices. They are also open to learning more about acquiring best in breed tools as needed. These projects need to be aligned with the migration to Amazon Web Services that is happening next year.

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 5-7 years' experience designing and implementing continuous delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment and Mgmt tools like Git and Docker
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery, and release of software with AWS code pipeline
• Good communication and presentation skills required
• Experience working in an Agile delivery environment
• Advanced degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience managing Continuous Integration environments, including maintenance and administration.
• Experience with set-up and maintenance of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools.
• Experience working at / consulting with a leading technology company that is very experienced in DevOps
• Amazon DevOps Experience - 3+ years
• Microservices experience with RESTful API's
• Kubernetes experience helpful not required
• Some project management experience
• Terraform experience helpful
• Client TBA proprietary system experience preferred but not required (former Client / AON or Hewitt company experience).
