Senior Deskside Support Analyst

What’s involved:

  • End User thin clients, desktops, laptops and tablets in the hardware asset register, running any operating systems agreed with the Courts Service (The selected service provider will review what security is in place for legacy operating systems and apply agreed techniques to limit security impacts to the overall Courts Service Network.)
  • PCs and Thin Clients used for training, development, and testing
  • Desktop environments delivered to staff laptops and tablets via Citrix Receiver
  • Surface Pro devices used by the Judiciary with software installed locally.
  • IGEL Thin Client hardware
  • The backend infrastructure\\\\Citrix environment delivering the virtual applications to the IGEL thin clients (Microsoft Windows Server, Citrix XenApp etc.) 
  • The Citrix Virtual Apps/Receiver plugin and app, including configuration and enrollment, and the associated systems required to deliver the service.
  • The service provider must maintain a functional and reliable user desktop application environment for all designated users of the service nationwide.  The services required will include but shall not be limited to the following:
  • The service provider will be responsible for full maintenance and support for the operating systems, productivity and application software outlined in Schedule B and any other services required to maintain a fully functioning desktop environment for every Service user.
  • The service provider is responsible for the provision, installation, commissioning, management, and support of any desktop support tools and all items proposed as part of a tenderer’s proposed solution to the desktop support requirements outlined in this Section.
  • The service provider will be responsible for proactive monitoring of key processes.

What you need:

  • A proven history of being able to trouble shoot and resolve technical issues across a client base with varying infrastructure and services
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in both remote and on-site support as Senior IT Support Analyst
  • Desktop Support – supporting, troubleshooting
  • Desktop & Remote Admin – Administering
  • Supporting all levels of Windows Service from 2003 to 2012
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies, including Exchange 2010 and Server 2008.
  • IGEL Thin Client hardware
  • The backend infrastructure\\\\Citrix environment delivering the virtual applications to the IGEL thin clients (Microsoft Windows Server, Citrix XenApp etc.) 
  • The Citrix Virtual Apps/Receiver plugin and app, including configuration and enrollment, and the associated systems required to deliver the service.
