Assignment Details

A global consumer goods company is actively seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join their growing team. The QA Automation Engineer will work with an established team of QA testers in evaluating existing automation framework, building new test frameworks, writing and designing automation scripts from scratch and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure quality control standards are achieved. The company currently has an influx of projects and needs someone who is experienced in developing and implementing automated testing solutions to maximize testing coverage and reduce test cycle time. Excellent communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing automation framework and provide automation solutions
  • Responsible designing and implementing test automation frameworks from scratch
  • Develop, execute and maintain automation test scripts to meet software release deliverables, project testing requirements and other quality considerations
  • Document, maintain, and monitor software problems
  • Recommend strategies and methods to improve test plans and test processes
  • Maintain well organized records of test results and generate historical analysis of test results
  • Assist in integrating automation methodologies within QA methodologies

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent professional experience may be substituted for formal education
  • 5+ years of progressive QA testing, specifically with automation
  • Solid understanding of Quality Assurance methods and practices
  • Understanding of automated testing concepts
  • Create and enhance automated tests via Selenium, Cypress, etc.
  • Javascript or Java experience is highly preferred
  • Quality assurance/engineering for retail website (shopping for products, going through cart / checkout funnel, etc) is desired, not required
  • Cross browser testing, mobile / desktop website views
  • JIRA / Agile environment
  • SQL Database experience
  • API endpoint testing
  • iOS App and/or mobile experience a plus
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, ability to effectively work with both technical and non-technical resources
