Assignment Details
The Governance and Assurance Lead drives, supports, develops, formalizes and implements the program's governance and assurance processes to ensure alignment with Quality Management Standards, and that the program is working at optimum efficiency, identifying any risks or issues that may negatively impact the efficiency of delivery.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years' in a similar role with experience in assurance, governance and reporting (Ideally within an IT delivery environment)
- Demonstrated experience in leading project assurance activities, maturity assessments and quality assurance for program/project management products
- Passionate about business improvement and a proven history of promoting capability uplift in large, complex organisations
- Significant and demonstrated experience in project management and associated frameworks lifecycles, standards, methodologies and governance practices - developing templates, processes, project briefs, project plans, risk management plan, quality plans and communication plans from small to large projects (especially Scaled Agile and other agile frameworks)
- Government, governance and/or internal audit environment, or experience conducting audits of large-scale transformation programs across complex environments desirable but not essential
- Proven experience leading and contributing, within a team-based context, at both technical and management levels
- Must be autonomous, able to take initiative, proactive and able to see the bigger picture and context
- Detail oriented with sound organisational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute multiple concurrent activities and priorities within strict timelines
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication with the ability to manage and build sustainable relationships and liaise with diverse and complex stakeholder groups with the ability to successfully negotiate needs and resolve differences
- Technical proficiency in Jira, PPM Hub, Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint; proficiency in PowerBI an advantage
- Storytelling and data visualization - able to analyse technical data and synthesize into a captivating narrative using non-technical language
