Data Center Migration Systems Engineer

The Role

We are seeking very solid technical all-rounders with similar experience with data centre an application migration.

This won't be a true lift and shift operation due to the current infrastructure setup, OS version incompatibilities and security postures between the 2 facilities.

• Solid Wintel experience & Linux server experience (less so)
• Advanced Wintel server and middleware engineering skills - must be comfortable with multiple technologies and able to configure & troubleshoot applications
• Advanced networking and troubleshooting (DMZ, SSL, load balancers, understand detailed engineering designs)
• Advanced understanding of modern storage and technologies
• Ability to install & configuration of many types of 3rd party software/apps with/without documentation - needs to be self-motivated and be able to think for themselves and come up with solutions
• Oracle & SQL Server, maybe even Documentum exposure
• Must be a self-starter and capable of providing results with minimal technical supervision
• Able to work within a rigid security and process driven organisation
• The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years' experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide Exchange systems.
