Consultant Task – Mainframe Consultant, Stockholm Area or Remote

On behalf of a major Swedish client, are we looking for a Mainframe support consultant.

Your primary responsibility will be to handle request and incidents from the client’s super User organisation, either by mail or ServiceDesk system. Phone is optional.

Typical tickets you will work with:

- Password reset
-Adding new users to SD and ordering a new login from HCL
-Provide MKS with information when needed. This is done in a special program, where you create a file. Edit the file to excel format
- Be able to extract data from SD for ASM, EXCEL and Basware
- Be able to solve "database hack" problems, so that new keys can be extracted and cylinders from systems where underlying segments exist. In this context make program changes in Endevor
- Be the "spider in the web" when problems occur, finding out what is causing the stoppages.

Technology stack:
Mainframe IMS, Cobol, Endevor, DL1-databases, FTP.

Mainframe supplier is HCL Sweden. Supplier has the operative support and responsibility of the mainframe environment. Backup, batch jobs, user management and operating system- and infrastructure level services are managed by HCL.

Location: Stockholm Area or Remote
Workload: 25-50%
Start: ASAP
Duration: 12-24 months + optional extension of 3 months
Language: Swedish is required, English is preferred.

Your qualifications
We are looking for a consultant with as many of the following competencies:

- Solid experience with Mainframe IMS & Cobol
- Solid experience with Endevor, DL1-databases, and FTP. 
- Swedish citizen due to security requirements
