Architect (Data)

For our client, an international IT company, we realize a recruitment process on the position Data Architect  to the long-term project. 

Information about the project / technologies: 

Our Client is undergoing an important transformation part of which are programs and projects to implement IT platforms and to harmonize the operating model and business processes. Data is one of the key aspects underpinning the transformation. The objective within this role is to take responsibility for the data architecture, including standards, design and maintenance. The role will be based in Warsaw, Poland or Denmark. A successful candidate will need to define data architecture strategy, data standards and lifecycle, data structures and flows, principles, classify key data assets i.e. nature, privacy and security requirements, data-related roles / ownership, category (master, transactional, analytical) and document them in a single repository. The data architect will collaborate with multiple stakeholders within business and IT in order to understand and agree upon how the data should be mapped to processes and applications, how the data is moved across the IT ecosystem and how it is stored 

Main responsibilities: 

Define the data architecture, demarking boundaries of different data categories, classes and types 
Document the data architecture in a EA repository in the form a consistent metamodel 
Establish a working relationship with IT and business stakeholders, external providers 
Work closely with Enterprise Architect, Solution Architects, Programme & Project teams, PMO, Data/Risk/Compliance Team 
Ensure a consistent link with the enterprise architecture vision (TO-BE architecture) 
Provide data architecture practical view to programmes and projects 
Collaborate with process owners and application owners to identify links, data transformations and aim for data standardization and unification (data topology) 
Share information on data management, topologies, structures 

An ideal candidate profile: 

At least 5 years of experience in data architecture, data design related & development 
At least 10 years of overall work experience 
Data modelling skills (ERD, UML, DFD) 
Understanding of MDM tools and practices 
Understanding of TOGAF and ArchiMate 3.x 
Understanding of API design (RAML, Swagger, others) 
Understanding of business processes notations 
Data management framework (DAMA DMBoK or equivalent) 
Practical SQL and data manipulation, transformation 
Previous experience as data architect or data designer within a distributed environment (cloud / hybrid setup) 
Data flows and integration experience 
Data standardization experience and working with different data sets and data categories (master, transactional, analytical) 
Knowledge of a data modelling / documenting toolset  
SQL knowledge 
Practical understanding of Agile philosophy and approaches 
Good English command (B2-C1 at least) 
Good interpersonal and communication skills 
Proactive and creative approach
