Assignment Details

Major Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibilities include hands on development, standardization, and management of all software deployments and integration into a VDI environment.
  • Work with application owners to package, script and automate application installs with custom parameters.
  • Participate in the QA and UAT process for the applications packaged; work with requestors to ensure defects are fixed before mass deployment.
  • Administration of monthly patches deployments via SCCM to the VDI environment.
  • Maintain and support virtual desktop (VDI) platform VMware View brokers, monitor availability and performance of physical and virtual desktop systems.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining desktop images with SCCM 2012/Current Branch. Responsible for creating and maintaining thin client images (Wyse and Client Thin Clients).
  • Create collections and advertisements for mass software distribution using custom scripting where needed.
  • Maintain ongoing communications with support teams regarding application issue resolutions.
  • Significant experience with Microsoft App-V sequencing as well as Install Shield (Flexera Admin Studio) packaging and MSI Packaging to customize COTS and custom applications.
  • Experience in deploying, managing and troubleshooting Windows operating systems to include application level support.
  • Candidate must be able to work as part of a team in supporting an enterprise level infrastructure.
  • Provide support off-hours and remotely (i.e. from home) when needed.
  • Serve as the final escalation point for IT Operations and Service Desk for application packaging and OS-related issues.
