Frontend Developer
SalesCenter

2019-11 - 2020-04

Victor acted as the sole frontend developer for the WIllab Garden SalesCenter, a tool which greatly
simplifies the process of performing reclaims and returns for the sales personnel at Willab Garden. Victor
had full responsibility for everything frontend related in the project, from choosing the right technology
stack to implementation and deployment. Victor was also part of the decision making process regarding
the architecture of the project as a whole, which included hosting, backend- and frontend-architecture as
well as integration against 3rd party API:s. Victor also kept good communication with the customer,
discussing the solution to be implemented and keeping the customer updated of the status of the project.

Kinnarps

2019-11 - 2020-02

Victor was one out of two developers responsible for implementing a "Return of Interior"-calculator for
Kinnarps, a global manufacturer of office-space articles. The calculator is used by staff responsible for the office-space of their respective company, and helps them quantify how long it takes for an investment
in new office interior to pay off. The idea is that an investment in new office interior can help a company
save money through, among other things, decreased sick-leave rate.

Victor was responsible for the frontend of the application, however he also took part in the backend
development when necessary. This was Victor's first project using Vue.js, which he quickly became
familiar with and enjoyed working with.

important components of the site as well as the building pipeline.

Victor's biggest take-away from this project was a deeper understanding of the build process for front-
end applications and a deeper understanding of webpack. The new website will launch in february 2020.

Mimir - Streaming Operators
Classification with Artificial Neural Networks

Master's Student
For his master's thesis at Chalmers, Victor developed a machine-learning program that could classify
stream processing operators in a stream processing pipeline, using metrics generated by the operators at run-time. Stream processing applications often run in the cloud due to vast amount of data that they
process. As there is often one party creating the stream processing application and another party
providing the cloud hosting, decisions regarding resource allocation for these applications are often poor
and not optimized for cost- or energy-effectiveness. By classifying the operators, these decisions can
become more informed and thus resources can be more optimally allocated, which has inherent cost- and environmental-benefits.

The thesis was turned into a paper and was published at the 2019 Distirbuted and Event Based Systems
(DEBS) conference in Darmstadt, Germany.

Responsible for information security
During an internship for Capgemini in Oslo, Victor participated in the development of a smart fitting room.
This fitting room was to be used as a show-case of RFID technology for the organization GS1, in
collaboration with the clothing brand Moods of Norway. RFID-tags were applied to the price tags of different kinds of clothing, and when a customer brought the clothing into a fitting room, information about
that particular piece of clothing would show up on a smart mirror mounted in the fitting room.

Victor's primary role in the project was initially to be responsible for the security of the applications,
however he later had to assist in the actual development of the product as time ran short.
