Standard Operating Environment Engineer

The Role

The key objectives of the role will include being responsible for the development and management of the desktop and Server Operating Environments and the ongoing management of the System Center platform. This will include building, testing, and deploying the SOE across the business.

Other Key responsibilities:

• Assess application compatibility and provide expert recommendations.
• Create scripting solutions for various processes and deployment of patches.
• Manage, design, and maintain SCCM /SOE Image.
• Estimating the setup for the delivery stage success, which will involve detailed design, testing, migration, deployment, reporting on these items, decommissioning, closeout and related activities.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops and tablets during post-build support.
• Provide Security recommendations.

Your Profile

You will be someone with extensive experience on large Windows 10 rollout projects for commercial enterprise clients. The right candidate will have exceptional troubleshooting skills and able to communicate effectively with all levels of the business

Other Key requirements:

• Able to install, configure, and maintain SCCM (2012).
• Expert in design and deployment of SOEs and associated management tools.
• Expert in configuring & maintaining of Windows server operating systems (2012r2/2016).
• Ability to deliver under pressure whilst maintaining quality, skilled in technical troubleshooting over a range of disciplines.
• Advanced knowledge of MDT and SCCM/Configuration Manager.
• Excellent scripting experience in PowerShell.
• Experience with App Volumes, User Environment Manager or experience with related products (i.e. Citrix Unidesk, etc.) would be a plus.
