Assignment Details

Our client based in Cork is currently seeking a Security Engineer on a 6-month daily rate contract basis. The role will involve securing and protecting their environment, infrastructure, and transition of the hyper-converged infrastructure project (HCI).

 

Role:

  • Identify issues and assess solutions
  • Ensure that security mechanisms are flexible to change with the platform itself
  • Rollout policies and standards for admins when configuring networks and access controls
  • HCI platform encryption
  • Intrusion detection system management and configuration

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience within an IT security focused position
  • Qualifications or experience with Cisco, Checkpoint and Palo Alto
  • Experience working with HCI environments e.g. VMWare vSAN
  • Design and implementation experience with security processes and procedures
  • Confident in explaining technical procedures to non technical staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Any security certifications are desirable such as CISSP, CCNA Security, CompTIA Security+
