IT Project Manager Level II

Responsibilities:

• Plan and set direction for multiple concurrent projects of varying size or a large (enterprise/cornerstone) project that supports several businesses and/or functions. 
• Responsible for the quality and delivery of systems and or service commitments on schedule, using assigned internal/external resources and following standards.
•  Manage/lead all phases beginning to end of the project. 
• Assist clients in identifying, understanding and responding to opportunities for cost-effective innovation and adherence to corporate policies. 
• Manage activities of all internal/external resources on projects or service deliverable's. May be accountable for one or more business systems, technologies and/or vendors. May be responsible for a small number of direct reports.
•  Accountable for large (cornerstone/enterprise) or several varying size projects, demonstrate solid technical knowledge, demonstrate strong business knowledge, require limited direction, give significant direction, handle highly complex problems, possesses extensive knowledge of project development processes and/or SDLC, have strong communication and interpersonal skill 
• Manage/lead entire project or service including technical solution, implementation, support and quality. Understand and direct/participate in all phases of project implementation on multiple large projects.
• Prioritize work and schedules. 
• Review project team deliverable's to ensure quality (design walk-through, test results, etc.) and adherence standards/regulatory requirements. 
• Interact with customers to understand their business and to anticipate IT solutions based on business and technical knowledge. Manage the customer relationship with business project sponsor.
• Responsible for capital and expense project budget. Assist the business in capital and expense planning for IT projects as well. 
• Provide direct supervision and mentoring of project team members during the project. Provide project performance feedback to the team members supervisor/manager 
• Participate in the research, analysis, selection, and implementation of new tools, technologies and/or services
• Participate in setting direction and standards for the portfolio or group.

 Qualifications: 

• In generality as a specific role may require experience in a specific business function or experience with specific software tools or packages those skills would be specified. 
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed above satisfactorily and demonstrated in prior work experience.
•  Expert in project management/processes and/or SDLC. strong business acumen. 
• Solid presentation skills, oral and written communication skills and teamwork skills.
•  strong influencing skills. 
• Proven track record on delivering large scale projects. Prudent risk taker. Leadership and budget experience. 
• Project Management Certification preferred. 
• Demonstrated history of successful project delivery Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily. 
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or relevant work experience. 
• 10- 15 years of systems experience including 3+ years of project leadership.
