Contractor B2B position - Senior Product Sustainability Specialist - Budapest, Hungary/Hybrid, English speaking

We are looking for a Senior Product Sustainability Specialist for one of our large industrial client.

Purpose:

The purpose of the Senior Product Sustainability Specialist is to help us delivering sustainable products with transparent documentation of our products' environmental performance, e.g. in form of Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD).

The Senior Product Sustainability Specialist will play a key part in aligning cross group priorities and efforts to make sure our client takes a leadership position for sustainable products.

Act as Group process owner and subject matter expert. Develop competences, processes, tools and best practices used across the group.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain LCA competences, tools and processes

• Lead LCA and EPD activities with colleagues from divisions and other group functions

• Train other colleagues to perform LCA-assessments and develop EPDs

• Support roll-out activities in our divisions

• Participate in cross-functional teams

• Training and internal communication

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Completed university degree preferably with a engineering / science / supply chain / EH&S / Quality diploma or a similar degree with a focus on sustainability management

• Experience within projects and processes in product compliance, engineering or product management and know how to build pragmatic solutions.

• Work experience or Knowledge of LCA calculations software (GaBi, others) and databases (Ecoinvent or others)

• Knowledge and experience of GHG Protocol, ISO 46067 and similar

• Proficient in automating the LCA calculations

• Structural mind-set and good IT-skills ensures your motivation and capability to drive or participate in work groups across the organization.

• Excel in maintaining strong relationships on every level and have profound English skills.

End date: 6 month contract with possible employment
