UX/UI Designer, Technical Project Manager
Lime Technologies AB

2022-01 - 2022-01

Lime Technologies consists of IT-consultants and develops a user-friendly CRM-system that is based on simple principles such as few clicks, good search ability and visual overview. This makes it easy to keep track of one's customer data and deliver great customer experiences.
Emma was involved in several different CRM-implementations where the size of the teams varied from approx 2 to 10. Her work involved creating personas, and gathering feedback from real users, and incorporating them into design decisions of unique functions, presenting alternative styles and dashboard designs. Her role involved creating interactive prototypes, developing navigation and flow, organizing content and writing technical specifications to developers. Furthermore, she has experience from planning and leading design workshops, managing prototype meetings between developers and stakeholders. With Emma's eye for detail and accuracy she led many agile testing sessions of products.
Emma was appreciated for being a responsive listener, a caring project leader and colleague, structured, calm and making the work environment fun and positive which led to her supporting her colleagues with mentorship. She was very appreciated by her customers, where she got a good relationship and where the customers often didn't want the projects to end, since the implementation and teamwork with Emma had been so much fun and well structured.

Their mission is to empower people in their daily lives. The project's aim was to seek answers to the problem that there is little knowledge about rich content, how it is being used and the reasons for using it.
Examples of rich content in digital news stories are images, videos and sound.
During this project, Emma investigated how rich content can enhance digital news stories and widen the audience. Through user research, design research and semi-structured interviews she investigated the new digital news format that is very different from traditional printed methods, presenting new possibilities.
Emma's research indicated that rich content can help convey a news story's main points by delivering complex things in an easy and understandable way. As a result, rich content seems to encourage more readers to finish the whole article. The results from Emma's user research was also that rich content can be used to widen the audience, since it can make the promotion of an article more interesting and make more readers eager to share the article on social media. Emma was most appreciated for her ability to quickly adapt to the new work environment from home and remaining the focus of the end-goal. She kept her good work morale and coud acclimate to working remote and still be a team player and a caring team member.

SVT's goal is to offer a selection that engages, entertains and enriches - for all ages and interests.
Emma conducted a user research to understand how an interactive application changes the experience of a TV show. Emma conducted a quantitative survey with the users as well as semi-structured interviews with the developers of the SVT Duo application. Based on the combined results of the quantitative and qualitative research methods, a design model for interactive applications could be created and presented.
The results of Emma's research show that users of SVT Duo become more engaged and willing to watch the entire program in full as they feel that the content becomes more interesting when they themselves get to interact with the program, and that the experience is therefore enhanced. This is completely in line with what SVT wants to achieve with the application, as the aim is to capture the viewer. Furthermore, the results show that SVT can improve the ability to adapt the content of the application as a user, especially for disabled people who, for example, would need larger text, but also because the result shows that it enhances the experience even further. To make it possible to capture a younger target group, SVT should increase the number of genres on programs.
