Rstor is a new startup within cloud computing and storage and I was working as the lead
front end developer in a globally distributed team of developers. I've architected the UI of two of their applications and a library of reusable components in Angular 5.

react.js and next.js.

Cloudera delivers an Apache Hadoop based platform for data management and analytics.
For three years I worked full time, as a contractor, to further develop and improve the UI of one of the company's flagship products. I was also deeply involved in a project to unify
the UI across the all the different products and developing an in house component library.
The work involves a huge degree of freedom combined with strict code review processes,
ambitious goals for automated testing and hard requirements on communication skills and personal responsibility.

Huisenvideo.nl is an online video platform for the dutch real estate market. The company
offers the production and hosting of videos combined with real world hooks (QR, Layar, etc) and social media. I designed and built the platform (frontend and backend) using
cloud hosting, mysql, cakephp, js, html5.

2013-01 - 2014-12
spreadthebrand.com was a data driven social media campaign platform utilizing the online
reach of the largest influencer database in Benelux. The platform contained a complex
matching and pricing engine (matching the correct influencers with a campaign) and an execution engine for invitations, approval, scheduling and reporting on social media posts.
I designed and built the platform (frontend and backend) using cloud hosting, mysql,
cakephp, js, html5 and a lot of integrations with 3rd party data providers and social media
platforms.
2000-01 - 2012-09
Throughout my years as a student I ran a business with a friend, which focused on IT
consultancy and web design but also offered services in photography and printed media.
During this period I designed and implemented many websites of varying size and complexity. The company lived on until a couple of years ago when we executed our last
project and decided to move on.

Theaudiomarket.com was an online marketplace for musicians, start-ups and everyday
people to buy and sell custom made audio at an affordable price. The project was a chance for me to build a large and fairly complex system from the ground up in a green field
setting. By undertaking this rather ambitious solo project I pushed myself beyond my
comfort zones in all areas involved from commitment, idea, functional design, architecture,

UX specialist
January - February 2011, Uppsala, Sweden
Payair, a company providing a cross platform solution for mobile payments, were facing
problems with a high percentage of dropouts during their sign up process. I analysed the
existing processes, both for web and mobile signup, and delivered detailed reports with recommendations for UX improvements together with a wireframe blueprint of the ideal
to-be process and GUI.

Knowledge Values is dutch IT and consultancy company delivering software and services
within applied artificial intelligence. The main application area is process (re)design and the clients are among the largest financial institutes of the world.
2008-01 - 2010-09
As CTO and member of the management team I was responsible for the complete
development life cycle of our AI software products, the strategic planning, execution and follow up of internal IT projects and governance of the daily operations that covered our
own IT but also application hosting and technical support for clients. Externally oriented
responsibilities included technical pre sales support, advising clients on technical and
architectural questions and project management for the integration and customization of our products at the client site. I was also responsible for recruiting, educating, motivating and evaluating the members of the company's IT team.

As team lead I was responsible for the coordination of our IT consultants and the technical
side of all client-facing projects. These projects included integration of existing software and development of new ones from concept to production. Clients were exclusively large
companies in the banking and telecom sector.

Officially responsible for the look and feel of the company's software suite I worked as an
IT consultant / programmer assigned to various projects at ING Bank. The target platform
was both web and desktop (C#).
