The Banijay Group in Sweden consists of five TV-production companies, Jarowskij, Meter, Mastiff, Filmlance and Yellowbird, within scripted and non-scripted TV and has an annual turnover of approximately 140 MEUR. I was responsible for 16 FTEs in the finance function, six of whom reported directly to me, as well as IT (5 FTE), Office (2 FTE) and Kitchen (2 FTE). The main objectives were to implement savings synergies and merge two financial departments after the acquisition. In addition to usual CFO tasks such as leading budget/forecast processes and management work, I also implement a new joint financial system and a BI tool.

As responsible for the financials of the division, I worked directly as a finance business partner with the CEO and management team in formulating strategy and analysis to drive and grow the business towards both financial and volume based success. Regular duties consisted of business forecasts, strategic business cases, preparing the monthly/quarterly closing, working with operations on revenue and costs improvement, driving sales through financial analysis and volume projections and KPI development and follow-up. My main accomplishments as Sr Business Controller consists of implementing a new P&L and cost centre structure, developing a KPI-report and building a new model for volume and revenue analysis/projections.

Shire is a global pharmaceutical company focusing on specialty pharmaceuticals.
My responsibilities were to direct and lead the Finance and Business Service activities in the Nordic region (five legal entities in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark) with a turnover of approx. 25 MEUR. This included, but was not limited to, making sure books and records for the Nordic entities were prepared and maintained in line with global finance requirements, ensuring that monthly financial reports as well as budgets and forecasts were produced to a high standard. Moreover, I managed four employees within the finance team, in addition to the responsibility of business services for the region, i.e. act as a single point of contact for all Procurement, HR admin, IS and Facilities.

EF High School Year (a division of the privately owned global education company EF Education First) was operating in 24 countries globally and had a turnover of approx. 40 MEUR. Being the Business Controller for High School Year involved being part of the management team and working closely with the Product CEO. In addition to financial responsibilities, I served as key speaking partner to management in all financial- and strategy related discussions. I took on full responsibility for financial planning, both for sales and production, including budgeting, pricing, cost follow-up, profitability analysis and internal reporting within our business area. As EF's High Schools Year's Business Controller I focused on challenging price points and profitability per market as well as identifying improvement areas in internal reporting and accounting. That contributed to a 57 % increase in High School year's profit during 2009 and 2010 compared to 2008, during my time as Business Controller.

Schindler Hiss AB is a subsidiary of Schindler AG, a Swiss operated multinational and world leading elevator- and escalator company. Schindler in Sweden has a turnover of approximately 30 MEUR. As CFO, I held full responsibility for the Finance department with primary emphasis on budgeting and forecasting, monthly closing, accounting and financial control, as well as financial system development.
Throughout my time as CFO, I integrated our dual brand company's finance function, resulting in major cost savings for the finance function. I also played an important role in the turnaround of the company from a substantial loss in 2007 to break-even in 2008. As CFO I was part of the executive team and took an active role in the strategic development of the company.

During my leadership the number of Service Leaders grew from four to seven and one new district was established.
