Hi3G (3), Employee 20 Nov 2001- 1 Jul 2012
Hi3G is jointly owned by Hutchinson Whampoa 60% and Investor 40%. Hi3G is part of a larger context for the brand TRE and has eleven sister organizations located all over the world. The development has been done in cooperation between these 11 countries, all communication in the company has been in English.
Tomas has worked as application lead, for the development, of the portal of the payment system at Hi3G Sweden. This has involved working with J2EE and problem solving around downloads, streaming and DRM and dual download
Tomas was initially hired at Hi3G to start up the EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) and set up guidelines, to do preparatory and advisory work for all Integration of Hi3G. The integration stage with the entire product range from the company Tibco as techniques TIB / Integration Manager, TIB / SDK, TIB / RV and TIB / RVRD. Tools which didn't exist were created if necessary.
Within the framework of EAI Tomas has also been working closely with Ericsson helping them build a bridge between the IT world and the Telecom world. This was a common interface developed by Ericsson for the underlying Telecom systems, such as Location Server (positioning), MM7 (SMS, MMS, and E-Mali) etc. This has involved the examination of 3GPP specifications and development of the Ericsson bridge. This was a CORBA solution.
After the EAI concepts were done and started to be used at the company Tomas took on the responsibility of being the application lead for content charging. It was a very intense Tibco and WebLogic platform consisting of six different applications. The role as Application lead for Content Charging involved many other roles such as project manager, architect, developer, debugging and later management of the payment system for Hi3G's mobile portal. The system manages all micropayments, subscriptions and delivery controls for downloads via Hi3G's mobile portal. In addition, the system is used to keep all electronic wallets for Hi3G customers. This work has required expertise in various areas of expertise and tools. The tools used are the TIBCO / RV, TIBCO / SDK, TIBCO / IM, J2EE, EJB, JMS, Web services, Avatar (Network 365), Database Oracle and BEA Weblogic Server application.

TeliaMessageBus
2019-11 - 2019-11
TMB was a project for the integration of Telia's various systems from previously communicating point to point to instead communicate distributed using event-driven techniques and middleware. This involved a lot of distributed development with a few different middleware products currently on the market, such as Bea TUXEDO, IONA Orbixweb, TIBCO RV, TIBCO SDK, TIBCO TIBCO MB and other tools. Telia uses TIBCO product as the basis for the realization of a loosely coupled systems environment. Tomas has worked in many different sub-projects and acted as support and mentor for the products and APIs from TIBCO that were used. Tomas has put together a TIBCO infrastructure on a practical level. He has also helped to spread the concept of TMB (Telia message bus), as well as disseminating knowledge and understanding of the TIBCO product to other departments of different customers at TeliaSonera.

Webberiet, Consultant
Vattenfall Data
1997-07 - 2019-11
The assignment at Vattenfall was to digitize their applications using Java and Tibco. Apart from pure java development the assignment contained administrative work in terms of design and updating of Perl scripts, HTML pages, and small script for UNIX to install the operating system, web server software, and TIBCO (middleware software)
First project 1
Tomas had development and management responsibility for a variety of applications. There were, for example, two applications that showed the electricity consumption for Vattenfall's customers. One application for the private persons and one application for the corporate market. Consumption was presented via the Internet in three different forms, as an invoice, as an Excel file and in the form of a graph with subdivision day, week, month and year.
The application was divided into four parts.
Web Server with Perl scripts and java applets.
A logical server outside the firewall with applications to communicate to across a firewall with the middleware software, TIBCO.
A logical server inside the firewall with Java applications that communicate with WebLogic server outside the firewall as well as with an Oracle database using SQL queries.
The assignment included development interface and database connection as well as project planning and monitoring.
Second project 2
The second task was to digitalize the interface to NordPool Market and make it accessible to on demand. This was managed from a file which was updated and policed on the web using Java Swing.
Environment: UNIX-based environment with Netscape Enterprise Server and adapters for TIBCO (middleware software).
