ASSIGNMENT The purpose of the assignment was to manage and lead the strategic planning and development of routines and implementation of the configuration management processes in the product development of electronic products within Electrolux Small Appliances and Home Care (Embedded Technology) in Sweden, Hungary and China.
I had the overall responsibility to ensure that the processes, procedures, work templates and tools are optimal from a department and section point of view. I handled the revision handling and revision planning of both Hardware and Software. Responsible for all new releases for both hardware and software in the Electrolux PLM (TeamCenter) system as well as the branch and merge planning and handling both in projects and products.

The purpose of the WLO T4F was to develop new electronic and electrical software parts for various construction vehicles. The WLO T4F project included about 50 employees, both VCE employees and consultants who were based in Sweden and India.

ASSIGNMENT The role was responsible for questions about CCM in PMO for the ELIPS program, which was a major change program in the Lantmäteriet. The aim was to migrate Lantmäteriets IT system from mainframe to windows platform. The main task was to develop and implement configuration and change management processes that would assist system developers and testers in the migration work. Was also responsible for deliveries from the sub-projects to the program's integrated integration and testing environments.

ASSIGNMENT Configuration Manager for three groups within the Sales & Marketing department: Point of Sales (POS), Electronic Payment (EP) and Test. The main tasks were to continuously customize ITIL processes and manage the Configuration Management (CM) plan as well as its routine descriptions. In addition, a new effective working method for Visual Source Safe (VSS) was developed and implemented. For these tasks, close co-operation and coordination were required with the three sales and marketing groups, clients, requirement specifiers, and internal as well as external suppliers. ASSIGNMENT Strategic Configuration Manager for the entire Global Shared Services (GSS) department. The main tasks in the role were to develop, implement and improve Configuration Management (CM) processes based on ITIL, as well as to introduce and upgrade CM tools (ClearCase). In addition, there was the leadership and responsibility four other Configuration Managers globally. In the ongoing CM work, the processes included document management, version and branch management, change management, deployment and release management. Additionally included, support systems developers and the GSS management team. Furthermore, I was responsible for several business-critical systems and interact with the supplier to ensure safe operation of the systems. In order to anchor the CM processes and the new working method with ClearCase, two hundred employees were trained continuously. The education was conducted in Sweden and also in England where about ten trips were conducted.
I improved work routines so that personal dependence could be replaced by CM processes. This resulted in safer and increased quality in deliveries that enabled faster rollback.

ASSIGNMENT The project consisted of replacing the Configuration Management (CM) tool, Visual Source Safe (VSS), and it consisted of the following three components: requirements collection, decision making and implementation. The first part consisted of collecting government requirements, quality requirements and user requirements. The second part consisted of evaluating three different CM tools based on the collected requirements. In the final section, the project chose ClearCase as a CM tool. The project also included the role of team leader for the group that migrated data from the VSS to ClearCase.
The project was implemented in less time than estimated, and the quality of deliveries improved significantly.
