For our client we are looking for a Data Scientist/Engineer
Scrum team member for Project 3D (Data-Driven Development)

The client is an agricultural cooperative and Northern Europe’s leader in agriculture, machinery, bioenergy and food products. The client is owned by farmers and with grain at the heart of our operations, we refine arable land resources to make farming thrive.

About the project
Project 3D is an initiative to increase the client's ability to leverage on and create value from data, primarily within the agriculture industry. Our approach is to learn and build capabilities by running selected data-driven use cases that is identified within our business areas.

About the role
We are looking for a data engineer to join our scrum team from December. At the client, you will have a key role in our project team and be responsible for developing solutions to support business insights using big data and analytics. Our goal is to create true business value using machine learning and make us more insight- and data-driven.

You will work with;
• Design and build data models that support business processes
• Translate business requirements into deployed platform solutions
• Design, develop, deploy and maintain batch and real-time big data pipelines that are optimized for analytics, visualization or reporting.
• Build analytics models in python to convert data into insights
• Contribute to development of design standards and best practices, including our shared repository of shared, reusable big data processing components and templates.

What we look for
• Engaged and proactive team player
• Creative and innovative to help us gather data and make use of it
• End-to-end solution oriented – as our team develop solutions from data to end-user
• 5+ years’ experience as software developer and software engineering
• 2+ years of python development
• Works with Pandas, Spark and Scikit fluently
• Good understanding of DevOps practices and agile software development
• Fluent in English
• Experience from cloud technologies on Azure is meriting
