Data Science Associate

About the Role

• Develop an understanding of what impacts 
• Build new queries, reports, and models to analyse customer data
• Provide actionable insights to Retail and/or Customer Operations department
• Translate data results for effective communication to a non-technical audience
• Carry out ad hoc interrogations of customer data
• Support existing reports, analysis, and models
• Gather, process, and analyse data from different sources for data models
• Provide management information reporting
• Work with other departments to develop understand of key business needs

About You

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related technical academic background.
• Extensive use of SQL in an educational or work setting
• Strong knowledge of a statistical programming language such as R or Python
• Proficient in at least one open-source statistical computing language, with a strong preference for R or Python
• Understanding of key data science concepts including
  • data mining
  • statistics
  • machine learning
• Excellent analytical skills required with good problem-solving skills
• Strong organisational skills
• Good collaborator with willingness to learn and can-do attitude
