Security Architect

We are looking for a Security Architect for our Finnish client. Together with the client team, the project involves working together for a public sector entity in the Middle East.

Please note: The client has a certain budget for the role, please note the hourly rate range given in the details of this assignment.

 

Key Responsibilities of the security architect:
- Provide subject matter expertise in system and network security architecture design.
- Integrate application security requirements into component and interface specifications 
- Are accountable for the security aspects of the technical solution delivered 
- Assure that all security deliverables are built to specification i.e., they align with the agreed architecture
- Raise technical issues to the correct forum and seek assistance from other architecture capabilities 
- Analyze and document security solution layers and components.
- Bring awareness of security risks to relevant stakeholders ranging from business leaders to engineers
- Develop and/or conduct security training and guidance to internal development teams or clients
- Drive the development of security architecture patterns, tools, and practices that can be used by team.
- Keep security infrastructure current by making recommendations and continuous improvements 
- Prefer to work on agile software development projects with globally distributed teams

 

Requirements
- Have experience with different modern security architecture approaches and processes 
- Foster a security-by-design mindset and give expert advice on use of security technology and best practices.
- Have experience using a general-purpose programming language (e.g. Python, Java, C#, Ruby, PHP, Go, and/or Swift).
- Are proficient in common authentication methods (e.g OAuth, SAML, CAs, OTP/TOTP.)
- Have excellent knowledge of browser-based security controls such as CSP, HSTS, XFO
- Use standard web application security tools such as Arachni, Brakeman, and BurpSuite.
- Design both on-premises and cloud solutions but open for hybrid solutions as well

- Have good communication skills (spoken and written) with fluent English as essential
- Own bachelor’s degree in computer Science, computer engineering, or a closely related field
- Have at least 8 years of relevant industry experience
