Citrix Specialist - Sydney

Our Client

We are seeking a Citrix Specialist for an established global organisation. This position is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of production and non production Citrix infrastructure, applications, systems, and tools.

Responsibilities include:

• Enterprise application/infrastructure - Designs, installs, configures, upgrades, and supports all the Citrix XenDesktop infrastructure components.
• Provide third level support for troubleshooting of user access, system availability, and performance issues with core infrastructure systems including Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp, PVS, Storefront and Netscaler.
• Clearly identifies, reviews and revises Citrix Infrastructure server administration processes/procedures to ensure optimal levels of support.
• Plan and Implement critical Citrix Infrastructure changes by clearly communicating with different stakeholders.
• Researches, analyzes and recommends changes for future system growth by utilizing industry standard monitoring/research tools.
• Maintain security management according to the clients' practices, including the ongoing promotion of awareness on current threats, auditing of server logs and other security management processes, as well as following established security standards.
• Manages servers with multiple OS's, includes provisioning, monitoring, governance and upgrades.
• Provides 24/7x365 on-call support as necessary, and work weekends and/or holidays as necessary.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:

• Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization (CCA - V)
• Minimum of five years of experience in technology solutions (i.e. network, administration, security essentials, desktop & server administration, application configuration & administration, application development), including administering Windows Servers in an enterprise environment.
• Minimum of five years' experience with different versions XenApp/XenDesktop with at least two years' experience administering XenApp/XenDesktop 7.x in a large enterprise environment.
• Strong experience with Install, configure, upgrade and maintenance of Citrix XenDesktop components which Includes Delivery Controllers, License, Desktop Director, Provisioning Services, Storefront and VDA.
• Experience utilizing enterprise level virtualization technologies such as VMware.
• Experience with using scripting tools such as VBscript and Powershell
• Strong experience with tools such as Process Monitor, Performance Monitor, Event Viewer, and other server monitoring tools to troubleshoot server software as well as network issues.
• Able to manage program level activities by developing and executing against a strategic program charter.
• Citrix Netscaler skills will be advantageous, having strong knowledge of Netscaler integration for Citrix User access layer.
