The XR Algo, SW and QA teams integrated and customized eyetracking for all OEMs who turned to Tobii to have eye-tracking integrated into their XR headsets. (XR = VR Virtual Reality & AR Augmented Reality & MR Mixed Reality) The teams were also responsible for the quality of the integrations towards the OEMs.
Daniel coordinated and led the work that allowed all the teams to agree on the common goal and delivery dates for the integrations.
The teams also ensured that the end consumers who purchased these headsets got the desired experience.

Since eye-tracking is a relatively new technology, not all use cases for the technology have been found yet. The purpose of this group was to explore where eye-tracking could create value, starting from the user's point of view. Examples of areas explored were controlling mobile phones with the eyes, social interaction (users could communicate more interactively digitally), computer security (easier to prevent unauthorized people from accessing sensitive data, by e.g. looking over the shoulder), energy saving (turning off the screen when the user is not looking at it) etc. The findings from the group resulted in both patents and references for future development projects.

Before the larger development project to develop a new generation of eye-tracking glasses, Daniel together with the product manager carried out a pre-study about what needs and problems existed with the current product, and which new markets and customers could be created value for through a new design of the glasses. The work consisted partly of many trips with interviews and observations of customers and other users around the world, and partly of an analysis and compilation of the results together with ideas about the design of future products.
Team members: 8 Reached goals The result provided a stable and elaborate basis for the upcoming development project, which resulted in a very successful product Methods & tools Brainstorming Impact mapping Interviews Observations Confluence 09.11.2023 Confidential

Tobii sold both its own eye-trackers as well as integrated eyetracking in laptops (Dell/Acer/ASUS) and computer monitors (MSI/Acer). With these products came the software Tobii Experience that Daniel led the development of. That meant matching schedules and resources with the orders coming from the big OEMs (Dell/Acer/ASUS etc), as well as delivering not only what the OEMs wanted but also ensuring a good user experience for the OEMs' customers, the end consumers. Daniel ensured that those who bought these laptops and computer monitors really got the desired experience.
