Sikander was hired to write the old game service På Lag from being its own separate solution to being part of the www.rikstoto.no website. In addition to this, he has also contributed with other tasks according to the customer's priorities and wishes, and maintenance of existing code.
All new functionality that was introduced had a feature toggle on it, which was not turned on until it had been approved by testers. There was no requirement for a manual review of the pull request, as the project used a strict CI pipeline instead.
The project/customer also had no need to run daily stand up, worked in a kanban sprint program with retro every 3 weeks.

Seniorutvikler, frontend. Sikander worked primarily with frontend development in the Angular framework written in Typescript with Ng-Rx state handling. Unit tests and stories were also written for Storybook and Chromatic to promote strong and robust changes/functionality.
As a senior, Sikander also assisted junior roles with the help they needed, independent of his role as a consultant.
Heavy emphasis was placed on WCAG rules and universal design in code development when Rikstoto fell under public scrutiny in 2022.
Among tasks such as bug fixes and maintenance, Sikander mainly worked on two major tasks:
1. Writing new On Lag game service based on sketches in Figma and an already ready webapi written in .Net
2. Rewriting Rikstoto's buttons to overwrite native buttons instead.
2020-10 - 2021-09
Seniorutvikler, frontend. As the most experienced Angular developer on the team, Sikander came into the project with a fresh mind and immediately saw the potential for improvement, which he took up. This was well received, and the project cleaned up some of the code. Furthermore, he introduced Cypress as end-to-end testing and helped set it up locally for the developers and as part of CI/CD.
From March 2021, Sikander replaced the then Lead Frontend on the team, who then went on paternity leave. Tasks that fall to the Lead Frontend are, for example, that all major frontend decisions must be consulted with him, he represents the frontend in the Architecture group, he has close dialogues with the designers and delegates tasks that he also creates.
Because Sikander is very fond of challenges and open to new opportunities, he took on the role of Security Champion. The area of responsibility for a Security Champion on the Fifty project is to ensure that the team develops a secure solution. This was a very broad role and covers several areas of the product they are developing.
2020-04 - 2020-10
Sikander was hired as a resource when Overvinne Projekt ended its contract with developers from Bangladesh. Much time was spent cleaning up the code base and writing a more sustainable code. Although Sikander had no experience with mobile development, this was a challenge he took on with straight arms.

The housing social monitor provides an overview of the housing social situation in Norway and in all Norwegian municipalities. The monitor will provide information on the overall social housing challenges in a municipality, and form the basis for analyzes and measures.
Husbanken has collected important information about the social housing situation in certain municipalities. Collective information can make it easier to get an overview of the status, so that municipalities, the state and other actors can make better decisions.

For this project, Sikander was a system developer, working full stack, with Java backend and Angular with Typescript frontend. Daily tasks consisted of backlog grooming, code development, coordination with other key people related to the project and delivery. Sikander was given the opportunity to work with both known technologies and technology he had not worked with before.
