Senior backend developer

Michael was tech backend lead and team lead for a team of three internal resources, himself, a frontend developer, and a UX designer. He converted requirements from the product manager into Jira tickets and planned the work tightly with the product manager. He was also responsible for two external consultants, whose job he supervised, created requirement/Jira tickets for them, and ensured that they delivered what was promised.
Michael was a central part of the company's expansion to international markets. Michael was at this point the only backend developer and took architectural decisions of all backend services needed for the expansion. Worked tightly together with the product owner and front-end developer to ensure the best functionality for the end consumer.
He was responsible for the company's payment system where he implemented a long-after sought recurring payment system which was a highly requested feature by the company and end consumers.
Michael also lead the project to develop and maintain new backend features for a new workout platform, built mostly in python with a micro-service architecture hosted on google cloud. At this time Michael worked tightly with another backend developer and the frontend team.
The project also had room for testing new things, and Michael has written a few micro services in Golang which have been published to production, for example, a small program that converted an image into a smaller thumbnail to improve an app's feed handling.

Animal.Ooo is a tech start-up on a mission to improve the health and lives of our pets by providing revolutionary breeding tools for private breeders, the tools are based on the latest academic research in the field and are developed in cooperation with leading scientists from Stockholms Universitet. Michael was brought in for his expertise in developing the architecture of the search functionality for the social platform. This was achieved by using Apache Solr as a search engine and a python middle layer for communication with frontend, batch jobs, and maintenance. The instance was containerized using Docker and hosted on Google Cloud Platform.
