IT Project Manager

We are looking for a project manager for our client in the shipping industry. The consultant is to join a quality improvement project related to wireless networks. Therefore, quality assurance and technical experience are beneficial. The consultant is not expected to do hands-on technical work, but a purely administrative project management background does not guarantee successful project delivery.

The consultant is to join the client in a pre-qualification phase of the work. The first version of the requirements specification is done. Materials and help are at the disposal of the project manager. Work is started from the early phases and e.g., creating a snapshot of the current situation, creating priorities, further planning, etc.

The aim is to ensure that the work is systematic, good, transparent, easy to do, and measurable.

Requirements:
We are looking for candidates that have experience in the following areas: 
- Project management experience
- Technical understanding needed to act as an IT project manager
- Experience and/or understanding of networks is beneficial
- Experience and/or understanding of quality improvement projects/quality assurance is beneficial

Location: Remote, readiness for possible visits appreciated (client based in Finland)
Workload: Part-time, approx. 40-70% allocation, TBS
Start: ASAP
Duration: 2-3 months at first, extensions expected
Language: English mandatory (Swedish and/or Finnish considered a plus, not a requirement)
Hourly rate: Ideal 85€/h, depending on experience.
