Flare Hub was set up as a data operator to enable small and medium-size businesses to efficiently manage and publish their public data.

As the more technical founder, I have been involved in setting up the IT solution. This includes determining IT strategy, system architecture, and product management down to system development. . We have since pivoted towards providing system specialist and technical advisory services.

My responsibilities at Nord Pool involved acting as a technical representative in politically sensitive projects. This included the negotiation of business requirements with vendors and partners, validation of business specifications and internal guidance on impact of technical decisions to the business.

XBID, Aug 2015 – Jan 2018

XBID integrated a market between energy exchanges throughout Europe. My role in this project was to represent Nord Pool in the technical work groups with the supplier and partners. This included the negotiation of business requirements, validation of business and integration specifications, and facilitating the integration of internal IT systems with the overall XBID project.

At IBM Finland, my responsibilities involved the design and delivery of enterprise asset management and energy sector IT solutions. This included leading the solution design from a functional perspective, requirement validation, overseeing the system implementation, acting as a liaison for both client and engineers, and building proof of concepts.

ELVIS, Mar 2012 - Jul 2015

The goal of this project was to deliver an information system that supports operations at all stages of asset management and use processes. My role in this project started out as Maximo solution designer and evolved into process lead for the asset modelling process. This included defining the process, breaking it down in to tickets and facilitating the implementation of the applicable interfaces.

My role as a project engineer included implementing client business processes with GENERIS system solutions. GENERIS is an energy data management solution that focuses on the data manipulation, information flow and communication in the free energy market. My specialisation was in the Dutch energy market.

Energy Balance Sheet, Oct 2009 – Apr 2010

The purpose of this project was to streamline the process for calculating the energy balance sheet for the leading district heating supplier in the Netherlands. In the initial phase of this project, I had the task to facilitate the requirements analysis and functional design. During the delivery phase I took on the role of delivery manager and consulted and trained the client on the solution. 

My career started by providing technical support in 3 different roles at IBM. First for 2 hardware products and then for the Asset Management software Maximo. Here, the 2nd role was for a new team providing technical support as a service for a 3rd party product. This included assisting in the setup of this new team. The 3rd role was as a level 2 support engineer, this time for a team that was acquired by IBM and the role included supporting the team in it’s transfer to IBM.
