Riassunto
I decided, together with my family, to spend 2021 helping
us all get through the pandemic. I have twin daughters who
are attending gymnasiet and a wife with a challenging job
working from home. It felt right to take step back after 25
years coding away without a break, to make sure
everything was working on the home front with everyone
working from home and being home schooled.
In addition to the above, I spent a considerable amount of
time building out a family planner in Notion for all of our
collective information as well as my own personal and
professional life.
I also got more serious about Flutter and built an app which
helps us save money on our electricity bill by calculating
the cheapest time of day to run our household appliances.
I got really into static site building with the Jamstack and
especially Astro, which I used to build a portfolio site
showcasing some of my work experience and personal
interests.
Finally I started volunteering for JunkFood (link) helping
them with a simple and fast way to publish a fresh menu
every day for gadens folk. The page isn't live yet but is
uses Sanity.io for the backend for the daily menus and
Netlify for hosting and building the Astro page several
times a day.
