Mikael is a visionary leader within Digital Trading / Banking Technology with a history of successfully delivering
complex, transformation, innovation & change programs encompassing both business and technology. He is a result
focused hands-on practitioner who builds high performing teams, leads the design of best-in-class technical
solutions, and executes agile transformations. Having 40 years of technology experience including insight into the
newest technologies (Cloud / Containers / ML / AI / Blockchain) as well as a particularly good understanding of the
business makes him excellent at delivering the technical tools for new Business ideas.
Currently he is helping NeoBrokers & NeoBanks to Deliver their Digital roadmap and in his previous role he was
leading the e-FX Trading & Trade Processing Technology at the biggest Scandinavian Bank (Nordea Markets),
owning the technology vision and strategy, distributed development and operations teams, budgets, programs,
vendors & infrastructure for Forex Front & Middle office as well as payments. He managed in short time to
transform an e-FX offering that was mediocre to winning the award for best FX provider in Scandinavia and was also
the first to introduce DevOps making intraday releases a reality.
Before joining Nordea Markets, he led the Murex & Treasury IT teams at Credit Suisse introducing LEAN and Agile.
For the Swiss CCP clearing house SIX x-clear AG he successfully managed the Acquisition, Merger, and Technology
Integration of Oslo Clearing ASA (derivatives clearing) and at Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) he delivered ahead of
original time and below budget an innovative Online Trading Platform "eTrading Pro" for Structured Products, FX,
and Securities.
At MIG Bank he built the bank's full IT from scratch and in parallel a highly profitable FX Trading offering,
appreciated by more than 60'000 customers world-wide.

Responsible for the development and delivery of a world class FX Trading platform. Ensured that the business technology strategy and roadmaps were developed to enable business to achieve its objectives. Achieved the objective to become the best e-FX platform in Scandinavia. Built, led, mentored, and developed 7 talented teams totalling more than 60 people, distributed across 6 countries, and completely re-build a state-of-the-art, highly available FX Technology platform.

● Factor 5 increase in availability of the platform in 9 months by introducing "Design for Failure" and personally investing huge effort into finding and resolving root causes.
● 8 times shorter issue investigation times by Implementing (hands-on) Splunk.
● Saved 20% of infrastructure costs while doing a total refresh of Hardware (140 Servers) and new Datacentre.
