Assignment Details

DESCRIPTION

The Technical Support specialist responsibilities will include;

  • Ensure stability of application/database servers
  • Monitor and control of environments (production, pre-production, test, development)
  • Server management and support
  • Ensuring stability of daily batch chains
  • Investigation and diagnosis of problems with our core applications
  • Be proactive in identify impacts to the live environment and insure minimal impact on operational service and on the business
  • Be able to cultivare strong working relationships with internal and external service providers
  • Have an in depth understanding of application / infrastructure in order to complete detailed impact assessments in the event of change/enhancements.

 

About You;

  • Experience in Windows and Linux environment.
  • Experience in IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler.
  • Experience in job scripting (batch files, shell files, python).
  • Experience in IIS, Apache, Tomcat.
  • Experience in database management (Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Experience of writing SQL queries to facilitate problem solving, data analysis.
  • Ability to interrogate data through query tools e.g. SQL Developer
