Job Summary:
- A Quality Engineer is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Milan, IL area.
- This position will provide quality planning, control, and improvement support for manufacturing engineering, supply management, and/or distribution organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in QIT (Quality Improvement teams) initiatives as the Quality representative, ensuring quality activities and plans are formulated and followed.
- Monitor, verify and facilitate quality activities for warehouse processes (control plans, assembly/process instructions) and confirm process capability.
- Investigate unit quality related issues and concern related to warehouse processes, gather and analyze data, resolve/facilitate resolution and implement corrective action.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 1 year of experience focused on shop floor manufacturing and distribution systems.
- Experience using Root Cause Analysis tools. Knowledge of the Continuous Improvement process.
- Prefer an understanding of NCCA (corrective action), and process capability studies.
Skills:
- Experience with manufacturing, supply management, quality improvement, quality control plans, continuous improvement, value improvement, lean manufacturing prinicples.
