Assignment Details

Role and Responsibilities:

This role will see the successful candidate work with a team of other Field Service Engineers to provide technical support for all hardware and software related challenges in an enterprise scale environment. This role will be primarily based in Dublin but will include opportunities for country wide support, with additional support based in Cork & Galway.

What’s involved:

  • Identify & deliver solutions (both hardware & software) for enterprise scale/ mission critical client
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues including account setup, network configuration for BAU
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in delivering project based technical change initiatives for the client
  • Track system issues through to resolution & offer a high level of support to VIP user groups
  • Log all technical issues using the appropriate data capture applications including the management of additional 3rd party vendor/ suppliers
  • Prepare accurate & timely reports for presentation to senior groups
  • Provide step-by-step technical assistance, both written & verbal

What you need:

  • 2+ years commercial technical experience- IT Service Desk or Field Service experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of the full Microsoft platform
  • Windows Server Admin experience (desirable)
  • Previous experience of supporting Virtual Desktop environments
  • Knowledge of smart devices (iOS & Android) including configuration & support
  • Knowledge of networking, including patching, routers & cabling etc.
  • Configuring of additional hardware including scanners & printers
  • Working knowledge of firewalls, routers and switches
