Summary
I am an experienced IT consultant with about 12 years in the industry. In recent years I have taken on roles as DevOps technician combined with Team lead / Service management. Experiences in my past which involves running my own restaurant, have developed a good business mindset, the importance of a well-functioning team and not least a solid feeling for service.
I like to take responsibility and people see me as a professional, and positive person. I have a keen interest in ball sports such as paddle tennis, badminton, and golf which takes up much of my spare time. Film and music are also something that I take great interest in.
Professional Experience
2019-06 - Present
I am Scrum for two teams at Volvo Cars, one team on-premise and one offshore. The teams are responsible for building the AWS and Azure cloud platform globally, as well as the container-platform at Volvo Cars.
We build services that, among other things, automate the provisioning of infrastructure and identities.
My main responsibility is to build and guide and help both teams to be efficient and high performing.
My other main duties:
- Responsible (Service manager) for the Volvo cars container platform based on Red Hat Open shift
- Train app-developer in container technology as a large migration is in progress.
2018-09 - 2019-06
Member and team lead of a dev/ops team on Volvo Cars. We are developing and maintaining a container-based middleware platform hosting mostly Java applications. My main focus is assisting application teams in migrating from WAS 8.0 ND to a containerized environment on Red Hat Open Shift platform. One huge challenge for the application developers is knowledge and how to adapt to containerized environment so a lot of my time is spent on transferring knowledge in Docker and Kubernetes.
I have the fortune to work with new technology and very skilled and innovative people, and we are constantly evolving the platform.
Our latest addition is Prometheus (https://prometheus.io) which is an outstanding open source product when it comes to pulling useful metrics in a Kubernetes cluster.
I am also service manager and CI-owner of the container-platform.

My primary focus was operations of Middleware platforms hosting Java applications on Volvo Cars. Platforms used were IBM Websphere Application Server hosted on SUSE Linux and the new MASP platform hosting containerized applications on Red Hat Open Shift (Docker/Kubernetes). I worked mainly with service operations and guidance for application teams (platform compatibility, setting up resources etc.).
I also had the role of Global team lead for Websphere and MASP operations team. We were located in Noida, India and Gothenburg, Sweden.

I started as a 2nd line technician for end users but quickly shifted focus to server operations in VMware vSphere (Windows Server).
The whole IT service was in-house, so it was very wide range set of duties.
Other tasks during this period were print service designer, group policies, Active Directory, network design, VMware Horizon service designer.
