Skilled Database Administrator

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide DBA expertise to a number of projects including installation, configuration, customization, Oracle database design and Oracle database creation.
• Experience with Oracle database configuration and performance tuning.
• Experience installing and maintaining monitoring tools to provide operational database reports and updating of database monitoring maintenance.
• Undertake database backup and recovery as well as documenting and testing of backup and recovery procedures.
• Experience providing technical leadership of the implementation of data and/or integration solutions for complex enterprise systems within complex multi-stakeholder and formalized project delivery environments

Mandatory Skills:

• Min 5+ years' experience in advanced database administration and optimization
• Min 5+ years of Database Administration experience across Oracle (70%) and SQL Server (30%)
• Good understanding of ITIL Service management with a Certificate in DevOps Foundation - Beneficial

Significant experience in the relevant technical discipline such as data modelling, data pipeline technologies, database development and management, integration development and platform management

• Experience providing specialist data and/or integration support in the context of a mature IT service delivery organization supporting both cloud and hybrid on-premise application configurations.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience as a subject matter expert in one or more relevant data modelling tools, data pipeline technologies (such as Kubernetes, Apache Airflow, Python, Alteryx, etc.), database platforms, or application integration and data integration platforms and technologies, which may be supported by relevant certifications
