Résumé

The past 17 years Sten has held various positions all with IT as the primary objective. The positions have ranged from external consultant to internal key positions within global IT organizations. Sten has gained a broad experience of the many aspects of IT from the operational "hands on" tasks to the strategic plans and implementations. Sten has great experience with reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO, the CIO and the boards of international companies.

Selected project and working experience

Dagrofa - Project Manager / Sourcing Manager
Project manager for the replacement of the old handheld computers (håndterminaler) used in the stores.

Dagrofa - Sourcing Manager
Sten was responsible for sourcing the new acquisition of the automated replenishment tender system for Dagrofa Logistic.

Coop Denmark - Head of IT Procurement
Sten was hired to establish a sourcing department to support the Coop IT department. Over a period of 5 years Sten build a sourcing department from scratch to a well-functioning department consisting of 5 FTE's.

COOP Denmark - Project manager (Sourcing track)
Head of the IT sourcing of their major (estimated 2.2 billion DKK) investment in the Coop Retail program that will transform Coop's business in the years to come. This included a new ERP system based on SAP.

Saxo Bank - Category Manager for IT & Market Data
Sten was responsible for negotiating and managing all IT and market data contracts in the bank. Key advisor for the CIO in all matters regarding vendor and sourcing strategy. He successfully handled a Microsoft audit with no findings.

Novo Nordisk - Senior Sourcing Manager / Category Manager
Preparation of the IPO of NNIT A/S with an analysis of +850 contracts
Responsible for the IT Consultancy Category with a yearly spend of +450 mill DKK.
Some of the biggest IT contracts in Novo Nordisk were negotiated and managed by Sten, supporting both the corporate IT department and global IT organization.

Novo Nordisk A/S - IT System Manager
Responsible for two laboratory IT systems important for the release of products in Novo Nordisk with a collective user group of 500+ users. It was Stens job to ensure that the systems where in compliance with relevant GxP requirements.

NNIT A/S - Application Consultant
Sten was involved in various IT-project, e.g.
* Design and validation of Business Objects reports for environmental monitoring system with 600 + users which included workshops and guidance in the best use of reports
* Consultant on Novo Nordisk ERP replacement project where the existing ERP system was changed to SAP.

Sten was hired to establish a sourcing department to support the Coop IT department and to head up the IT sourcing of their major (estimated 2.2 billion dkk) investment in the Coop Retail program that will transform coops business. This is including a new ERP system based on SAP. Sten have through the large sourcing project influencing the future organisation of Coop's IT department, in order to ensure a successful implementation of the contract.
Strategic sourcing was not a well known or respected discipline in Coop hence Sten have had to convince the IT management group of the benefits of involving sourcing specialists. The department is now considered as trusted advisors and are influencing the IT agenda. Sten was included as a member of the IT comity consisting of the IT management group and headed by the CFO.
Sten also introduced vendor management to Coop and it is now an established practice.

As Category Manager, Sten was responsible for negotiating and managing all IT and market date contracts in SAXO BANK. Sten acted as a key advisor to the CIO in all maters regarding vendor and Sourcing strategy. Besides conducting strategic sourcing projects, Sten also Successfully handled a Microsoft Audit. Resulting in no findings.

As Senior Sourcing Manager, Sten was managing and negotiating some of the biggest IT contracts in Novo Nordisk, supporting both our corporate IT department and our global IT organisation, which sets high demand on coordination and alignment across the global organisation. Sten support and guide our senior IT management in various sourcing related tasks. Besides my normal responsibilities Sten have also been a key resource in the preparation of the IPO (Initial Public Offering) of NNIT A/S, driving the due diligence of relevant contracts. We analysed 850+ contract. Based on the analysis, we reported the potential risks and implemented the relevant changes to mitigate the various risks.
Lead Negotiator / Category Manager

As Category Manager, Sten was responsible for the IT Consultancy Category, which holds a yearly spend of +450 mill. DKK. Part of the category management involves creating and implementing category strategies and ensuring alignment with senior stakeholders and the relevant business strategies. Sten was also responsible for managing the variety of vendors used in Novo Nordisk, including strategic vendor management. My biggest achievement was the creation and implementation of a Global Category strategy setting new standards for how to manage IT consultancy suppliers in Novo Nordisk.
As Lead Negotiator, Sten was involved and responsible for the entire sourcing process from requirement specification to contract negotiations when sourcing larger IT projects. Sten secured the best possible agreements for Novo Nordisk through value adding negotiations. This includes contracts negotiation of Software License Agreements, Implementation/Project Agreements and Service Level Agreements.

Sten was responsible for two laboratory IT systems important for the release of products in Novo Nordisk with a collective user group of 500+ users. It was my job to ensure that the systems where in compliance with relevant GxP requirements. Sten was responsible for a small team of 3 people that was responsible for the completion of the following: * Yearly update of IT strategies * Planning and conducting activities according to budget with internal and external resources * Business process improvements of both support processes and the use of the IT systems * Ensuring the continuous support and maintenance according to the principles of ITIL. E.g. incident, problem and release management * Leading the process of resolving Critical and Major Incidents * System Development * Supplier Management

The main theme of the thesis was to cut cost in the packing department. The principles of LEAN was used as the main tool to analyse and find solutions for the processes in the packaging department. The business case included an analysis of identified outsourcing opportunities.
