Made key decisions as a Product Owner/Architect of Aidon’s third generation reading system responsible for collecting data from up to 1 million smart meters. Designed and developed software used to simulate up to 1 million smart meters. Designed and developed services (APIs) that are called more than 100 million times daily. Designed and developed a key management and encryption service (security audited by a third party) and other mission critical services. Designed and developed integrations with 3rd party multi-utility meters (water, heat, gas). Designed and developed the system architecture and features mainly with Microsoft technologies. Communicated with smart meters using proprietary binary protocols over TCP. Led, guided, and collaborated with development teams both on-site and off-site.

Designed a key software component that collects missing measurements from smart electricity meters. Designed core reading system mechanisms to handle the limited asymmetric bandwidth of underlying mesh radio networks and to handle the prioritization of outgoing messages. Developed REST APIs for Aidon’s new web UI using ASP.NET Core Middleware. Authenticated signed-in users using OAuth 2.0 and JSON Web Tokens (JWT). Developed event APIs that exploit RabbitMQ and Elasticsearch using the publish/subscribe pattern. Used Swagger UI and Postman to test REST APIs. Wrote automated Swagger API documentation. Used TeamCity and Octopus Deploy for continuous integration and deployment.
