Senior Frontend Engineer

We are looking for Senior Frontend Engineers for our client. They are a software company that is developing enterprise-level solutions and redefining employee communication in the workplace. This is a chance to join a senior-level remote tech team.

You will also work closely with a superb frontend team based in Helsinki. It does not matter where your location is if it is roughly in the same time zone.

Your tasks
As a Frontend Engineer, you will work on the following:
– Be one of the client’s masterminds in Frontend, with the possibility to coach other frontend developers depending on your expertise and interests
– Use the latest technologies, and contribute to them if they are open source
– See your impact and contribution through continuous integration
– Bring the client’s frontend to the next level with your experience and new ideas

Your qualifications
The main requirements for this role are:
– Have a solid frontend developer background (preferably 6+ years of experience) and skilled in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and React. The client has an AngularJS > React migration ongoing. So, AngularJS experience would be appreciated too but lack of it isn’t a deal-breaker since all new code is written with React
– Know and/or have experience working with design systems, Redux, Webpack, and asset-building process, HTML5 and SCSS is considered beneficial
– Have experience working in a Scrum environment is considered beneficial
– Some UI designing experience and UX knowledge is also appreciated although they have a dedicated UX team for it
– Relevant education degree with major/minor in software engineering considered as a big plus
– Fluent communication skills in English

Even though the focus is on the frontend, some backend tasks are not out of the picture, especially if you have some experience in Golang, cloud hosting, microservices and databases.

Location: Remote (Client located in Helsinki, Finland)
Workload: Fulltime (150 hours/month)
Start date: ASAP (negotiable)
Duration: Long-term, open-ended (Collaboration starts with a 6-month contract)
