I managed a late science project that delivered a genetic sequencing solution for the Chinese market. The purpose of the solution is to analyze cancer patients' genome set to identify individuals who will respond well to the drug being tested. As there were plenty of technical uncertainties, I ran the project using agile principles in order to allow the team to explore their way forward in a controlled manner. The project was executed according to GxP principles in a regulated environment. As the project members were in China, India, Spain and the UK, the project was managed remote. My main responsibilities were: ● Leading the activities relate to design, development and implementation of the IT infrastructure (based on Amazon Web Services) and the in-house developed application SeqAuto ● Requirement gathering and analysis, both from a user-perspective and legal perspective as China's laws for human genome resources are extremely strict and place high demands on the IT cyber security ● Budget management, both in terms of manpower and technology costs ● Project documentation.

As very few schools in the world had implemented Intune, the project had to be managed in an agile way to ensure a quick pivot was possible in case the new technology was found not to be desirable. I was responsible for ● Requirement gathering through workshops and interviews ● Communication and negotiation with decisions-makers with conflicting interests ● Strategic dialogue with IT architects and CIOs ● Driving the technical implementation and managing the Product Backlogs for the Client and Infrastructure Teams.
