Senior Cisco Network Engineer - Evanston, IL

Job Summary:

Our client in Chicagoland area is seeking a Senior Cisco Network Engineer with the following experience:

• Hands on experience conducting deployment, site survey, and network refresh activities

Responsibilities:

• Expertise configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, migrating, and supporting Cisco hardware/ devices - routers, switches, controllers
• Expertise troubleshooting, installation, and design of Cisco ACI and WAN/LAN/VXLAN/ VLAN networks
• Strong knowledge of Network Protocols and OS (OSPF, HSRP, BGP, TCP/IP, etc.)
• Knowledge of VPN, Firewalls, IPS, Load balancing, Cisco Access Points and Controllers

Qualifications:

• Prior project experience with large distribution builds and conversions (150+ closets)
• Ability to work partially onsite (50%) and travel (25%) between office two main locations in Evanston and the city (north side)
• Prior experience working in the Healthcare or Higher Education is a plus
• Bachelor's degree or comparable experience
• CCNA & CCNP are preferred, and CCIE is a plus
