Visa Status:         US Citizen, GC, GC-EAD, L2-EAD, H4-EAD (No H1B Visa).

 

 

Note: This is a Hybrid model position in which you will have to go to client office based in Issaquah, WA for one day in every week.

 

Consultant should be comfortable in relocating to Issaquah, WA or Dallas, TX upon confirmation of the project in the week of joining.

Title:                            Build Engineer

Location:                      Issaquah, Washington or Dallas, TX (Consultant will have to relocate to any of this location on first day of joining.)

Position Type:              3-6 Months Contract to hire

 

Job Description:

 

As a Build Engineer you work with Software Developers and DevOps Teams to ensure our products seamlessly move from development through rollout and into production. This requires scripting and coding with an eye toward scalability as we are pushing updates and iterating on all of our products.

v  We are looking for an individual interested in improving development experience and contribute to rolling out faster and better applications. Our vision is to continuously improve build and configuration management tools as well as best practices to meet needs of scaling applications as well as growing engineering teams.

 

Responsibilities:

 

       Solution focused with the ability to drive the improvement of our tools and processes for continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment automation.

       Lead the way by staying up to date with tools and technologies to increase efficiency and reliability of CI/CD, as well as own their administration and maintenance.

       Manage release branches as well as maintain the build process to support continuous integration.

       Investigating and debug engineering/build failures and driving improvements.

       Designing and developing solutions to improve developer experience and code velocity to production.

 

Required Skills:

 

       3+ years of experience in software engineering, release engineering and/or configuration management.

       3+ years’ experience developing tools using Java, JavaScript, JSON, SQL, Ant, and/or scripting languages.

       BA/BS Computer Science or Engineering degree or equivalent work experience

       Familiarity with software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems such as Puppet, GIT, ADO, TFS GIT and TFS SVC

       Experience in administration and usage of continuous integration and build tools and scripts such as Ant, Maven, Jenkins, and Gradle.

       Experience in Sonar Cube, Artifactory, Harbor, Kubernetes, and Docker.

       Experience with scripting languages Groovy, PowerShell, cmd and shell.

       Experience setting up, configuring, and maintaining Tomcat.

Ø  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Ø  Excellent organizational skills

Ø  Ability to work both independently and within a close team environment

Ø  Designing build and deployment architecture supporting the needs of complex web applications

Ø  Ability to translate team requirements to code implementation of tools

Ø  A passion for being part of a team willing to self-assess in order to continually find better ways to do things
