During my assignment at WWL, I was Business Analyst / Integration Architect for many major systems of the company.
I was gathering user requirements, creating integration business requirements and conducting user acceptance testing internally and together with external customers.
I was responsible for the UAT of the monthly releases of the main booking system of WWL. That involved coordination and prioritization of the change requests by the end-users. Those change-request were transferred into Work Orders managed in JIRA.
I was also involved in the releases of the online version of the booking system.
This required working with the end-users from the business side, understanding of the business model of the company in details.
My interaction was both with the end-users and the software developers.
The preparation of business requirement documents was part of my daily activities.
That included gathering, elicitation and prioritization of requirements.
I have successfully rolled-out new EDI implementations between WWL and their clients. This enabled the end-users to focus on their daily business activities and be more efficient. The ultimate return for WWL of these new EDI implementations was the cost-savings and very satisfied customers.
I was involved in the business process improvements. In the cases where the business processes were impacted by the introduction of new EDIs, I was leading the initiatives to remodel the and adjust the business processes accordingly.
It was part of my job to create user stories and prepare workshops with the end users related to the introduction of new system releases.
The product development process that we followed was a mix between the V-model and the agile development model.

As a Tre employee I had the role of System Developer specializing in Systems Integration. From the beginning of my employment at Tre I was involved in the design, development and testing of the new version of Tre's Technical Order Management (TOM) System. This system was already existing and it was based on Integration Manager which is the older version of TIBCO's software used as platform for system integration. The new version of TOM was based on the new system integration platform by TIBCO known as the Business Works (BW) platform. Since the new TOM was developed by an external vendor I had the responsibility, as a future Application Lead of the system, to make sure that the external vendor was delivering on time and according to the agreed Statement of Work (SOW). During that period I was pro-actively involved in various design and architectural decisions related to the new system. I configured the different environments (dev, test and prod) for the system. It's worth mentioning that I've changed the way we deploy TIBCO BW from using separate domains to using one domain for many machines. This made a huge positive difference to our colleagues from the IT Operations and now it takes them less time to maintain the system. Finally, the system was successfully delivered in two drops and I was the one deploying it in production environment in both cases. During the development of the system there were discussions with the vendor for new SOWs that the new vendor wanted to implement as extra work on the new TOM, of course for extra money. In those discussions I have succeeded to protect Tre's interests by convincing and motivating our team at Tre that we have the resources and the know-how to develop the SOWs in-house and be independent of external consultants as much as possible.
