Senior Product Manager
Schibsted Media Group

2015-11 - 2018-04

Making my contribution in service of the free press and its democratic
function, I look after the Distribution Frameworks of the Schibsted
Media Platform, consisting of services and libraries which, when
combined, form an end-to-end publishing stack. I manage a team of
product managers that own the areas of App SDKs, Web SDKs and Content API respectively.

The Schibsted Media Platform will power all of Schibsted's media houses around the world.
Spotify / Product Manager

2013-01 - 2015-07

As Product Manager (Product Owner in Spotify parlance) for the iOS
Client App team, I'm responsible for both the overall experience of our
iPhone and iPad apps and the infrastructure to support it. It's my job to ensure that the iOS apps ship like clockwork with increasing quality.

I work closely with other product managers whose teams contribute to the iOS apps, and also with people from design, analytics, product
marketing, growth, PR, new markets, customer support and many other
functions.

On a daily basis, I work on product strategy and roadmaps, analyze data,
drive my team of engineers, meet with stakeholders and peers, solve
problems and make decisions.
Engineering Manager

2012-09 - 2013-03

As an engineering manager (chapter lead in Spotify parlance), I had about
10 iOS developers as my direct reports.
My responsibilities included being a mentor, coaching and helping each
of those individuals to grow, and also to provide technical leadership and drive technical and architectural improvements.
During my tenure, the team moved from a monolithic iOS application
that had to be owned by a single team to a modular architecture which
allows multiple teams to work in parallell, each innovating on their
domain area and enabling the organization to scale. Today, over 10 teams
are continuously contributing to the iOS app.
Head of Architecture
MoSync

2011-05 - 2012-07

As head of architecture, I was responsible for the technical direction and roadmap of the MoSync platform. As the customers were developers,
making the platform and product one and the same, I was effectively also
acting as head of product.
Technical Product Manager
MoSync

2007-07 - 2011-05

While my business card read "Technical Product Manager", this period
saw me working with virtually every aspect of the company's activities.
I was involved in developing the product strategy, hiring developers,
raising financing, working with customers, training developers all over the world, doing sales, marketing and business development. I traveled
extensively, and was among other things part of setting up a joint venture with a South Korean company.
Software Engineer
MoSync

2006-07 - 2007-07

Was hired to develop my previous project - a next generation
presentation tool - into a graphical development tool for mobile
application development.
In addition to that, I played a core part in developing the foundations of the MoSync cross-platform mobile development suite - including a C++
platform library implementing a subset of STL functionality, a virtual
machine-based simulator application and GUI-based build tooling.
