Resumen
I am a Senior Data Scientist with 15 years commercial experience and 6 years education (MIT Sloan &
CSAIL Executive education AI - Implications for business strategy + Master's degree in Computer
Science from KTH).
My current employment is with Webstep AB in Stockholm as a Senior Data Scientist. In this role I give
strategical advice for C-level executives on implementing AI solutions for improved business value. I
also work hands-on in client projects giving expert advice on how to solve different machine learning
problems. A typical client project starts with meeting C-level management, discussing the
organizational process where they are interested in applying machine learning, for example how to
improve the accuracy of the ordering process to avoid over-stock. Then follows two to four weeks of
hands-on project work supporting the client team. The goal is to give the client's team of data scientists
a quick start, finding the most suitable feature selection methods, what models to use and tips on how
to avoid typical pitfalls of Spark such as out of memory, slow processing or excessive shuffling.
Previously I worked for Ericsson as a System Manager with the title of Senior Specialist. Before that I
was a professional services pre-sales consultant for Computer Associates with focus on sales, research
and development of customer adapted application monitoring solutions.

Employment at Ericsson BUSS (Business Unit Support Systems) as Innovation Team Lead and Senior
Specialist. I was part of the development of the mobile internet platform: Multiservice Proxy. My
responsibilities included: researching new congestion control algorithms, implementation in Linux
kernel, presenting the ideas and prototypes for C-level executives at tier 1 operators, for example AT&T,
Bharti AirTel. I worked closely with departments in BNET, Ericsson Research and with the sales
accounts in all regions. Together with Ericsson Research I have researched and developed a proprietary
TCP Congestion Control Algorithm which is now being sold world-wide.

Project details
Development and testing the Webservices part of Ericssons Service Capability Server called the
Network Resource Gateway (NRG). The Webservices are implemented in J2EE and run on the Weblogic application server.
Involvement
• I worked as teamleader for a group of five people as well as a group of two. I was responsible for
the progress of two different projects. My responsibilities included programming test applications for the Webservices, project planning, administrating the Weblogic, Oracle and NRG servers that
we used for test purposes. I also developed and supported the test environment which was built in
house.
• During these two Webservices projects I got hands on experience with all stages from design, to function test and system test were we stress tested our Webservices platform using target platforms
such as BEA Weblogic, Oracle, Unix and TSP hardware.

Project details
Technical consulting for the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. This included security updates for one of the departments computers, removal of computer viruses and the development of a graphical user
interface for an ECG analysis tool in Matlab.
Involvement
• The final task was to remove the SoBig worm and a couple of other viruses, which had infected
their computers. Since these types of viruses are not removed by ordinary antivirus software they
had to be manually cleaned out from the system.
• Earlier work included setting up a computer using Windows 2000 and installing Matlab and the
hardware used for acquiring ECGs. This computer will be used for analysis of the ECGs using the Matlab program developed together with PhD Miguel Quintana.
